Vault

Your private balance

Shield SOL, USDC or USDT into Privacy Cash's audited pool. What leaves the vault comes from the pool, with nothing on chain tying it back to your wallet.

Unlock your vault

Your wallet signs one message, and that signature is your vault's key. It stays in this tab's memory, is never stored or sent anywhere, and is asked for again next visit. It's the same key Privacy Cash's own app uses, so a balance you shielded there shows up here too.

What stays private

  1. Shielding is public. Anyone can see your wallet put an amount into the pool. That's the last thing tied to you.
  2. Sending from the vault isn't. The pool pays the recipient, proven in your browser and sent by Privacy Cash's relayer, so nothing on chain says which deposit it came from.
  3. Wait, and vary amounts. Shielding 1 SOL and sending 1 SOL a minute later is easy to match. Leave funds a while and send different amounts.

Sends cost a small fee, paid to Privacy Cash. Their relayer sees which addresses it handles and the IP each request comes from. Privacy Cash screens depositing wallets and may turn some away.
